 BACKGROUND INFORMATION-

I was born and raised in Manistique, Michigan which is a small town in the Upper Peninsula where I still reside. I am a single mother with 4 sons and 1 daughter. I have 4 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.

My jobs over the years have included Bartender, Waitress, Restaurant Assistant Manager, Church Treasurer, Cashier, Miniature Parts & Engine Assembler, Bar Manager & Payroll. I am currently a Pharmacy Tech and part-time Bartender. Now I can add Author to the list!

I am a 1973 graduate of Manistique High School, majoring in English.

My love for writing began when I was fifteen, when I started writing poetry. My first poem was about the Vietnam War. I later wrote several short stories, none of which have ever been published. With the release of my autobiography, I PROMISE NOT TO TELL, I hope to get my foot in the door of the publishing world.

Publish America has accepted my second book, JOHN HORN-Legend of a Lumberjack, a romantic/historical fiction set in my hometown during the booming days of the lumberjacks in the late 1800's.

I am currently working on a sequel to I Promise Not to Tell and  I recently started another fiction with a new twist on living in a small town with today's problems. I plan to compile a book of poetry too.

My hope is to become a well known author from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

A SAMPLE OF MY POETRY-

 THE WOMAN

This laughing woman sits and cries

but you never see it in her eyes

Her sorrows are deep within her heart-

buried beneath red hot sparks

If one of these should ever ignite

would she cry- she just might

Some think they know her well

but don't know she's been through hell

All her suffering is deeply hid

like Pandora's box- under the lid

If it were opened up tomorrow

she could let out all her sorrow

She seems like such a peaceful soul

playing out her given role

Life comes in little bunches

and she just rolls with the punches

Is she happy- is she sad?

A lot of things she could've had

Will this laughing woman cry

and if she does- will she die?
