Doris Greenlee was born in the coal fields of Bluefield, West Virginia, but grew up in Huntington, West Virginia. She has lived in Winston Salem, North Carolina, for the past twenty years, and has worked in the office arena all her life from file clerk to accounting, payroll and credit. She has three grown children and four grandchildren. She enjoys writing, singing, gardening and especially cooking, and even ran her own catering business for a while. Her greatest accomplishment, however, was raising her children.
